Finally put out my remix from last year of Catamaran’s “Goth Creep”
As I learn my way around Logic, I can’t help but think back to the first things I ever recorded. In 2005, using Windows Sound Editor and Fruity Loops, I abandone my previous misconception that you need a traditional band to make music, and started making sound collages without even knowing that was a thing. I compiled some of the WSE songs together along with a photo I’d taken of a double rainbow during a thunderstorm, and “released” them as _____ under my imaginary label Sexdad under the moniker gotta be gorgeous and a hand full of love letters. Though I put it on Myspace and Last.fm, my partner Alisha and perhaps a few friends are the only people to really ever hear these songs. I thought now, 8 years later, would be the perfect time to “re-release” all the various albums and EPs I made through the years onto a brand new internet. I hope you enjoy my first entry. My goal is to release a new one each week.
